what is 3-D printing?

The 3-D printing process builds objects of any complexity, part-by-part. The parts are built at high accuracy from composite powder and have reasonable strength. A part is created in subsequent layers by binding a starch powder according to the geometry of the part's crosssection that is being calculated for each layer. The durability and surface quality can be enhanced through various post processing techniques such as sanding; painting; dipping the part in wax; infiltrating with a resin, epoxy or urethane; coating with plastic or metal.

What is NCR?

Carbonless copy paper or NCR paper is an alternative to carbon paper, used to make a copy of an original, handwritten document without the use of any electronics. The process was invented by chemists Lowell Schleicher and Barry Green, working for the NCR Corporation, as a biodegradable, stain-free alternative to carbon paper. Early product literature piggybacked on NCR's corporate name by calling the paper No Carbon Required paper.
